Finishing variations: Speed, coordination and finishing on goal

1. Requirements

Unlimited number of players
Number of balls (player B has 2 balls)
3 markers
2 cones

2. Organisation

Set up the formation as shown in the diagram.
The exercise can be performed on both the left and right sides to train variation and balance.
Make sure players have enough space to move without getting in each other's way.

3. Description

Start:
Player B plays a deep ball to player A.
Player A runs to the deep ball, takes it and shoots at goal.
After the shot, player A makes himself available to player B.

Middle phase:
Player B plays a ball to the requesting player A.
Player A receives the ball and lays it off for the oncoming player B.
Player B takes the ball and shoots at goal. After the shot, he makes himself available to player C.

Finish:
Player C plays the ball to the requesting player B, who receives it and plays it deep.
Player C makes a run outside and receives the deep ball from player B.
Player C takes the ball and crosses it to players A and B, who are positioned in front of the goal:
Player A takes up position in the first zone.
Player B takes up position in the second zone.

Rotation:
After the cross, players move according to the diagram: A → B → C → A

4. Coaching and Focus Points

Coaching:
Technique: Focus on accurate passing, controlled ball control, and effective shots and crosses.
Movement: Encourage active running, good anticipation, and clear communication.
Positioning: Players in front of the goal must move intelligently and choose the right zone.

Points of attention:
Have players alternate between passing, shooting, and crossing with their left and right feet.
Ensure that left and right are practised equally to create balance in movement.
Work at a smooth pace without players getting in each other's way.
Allow sufficient time for players to switch back and position themselves properly.
